Aaron Norris of the Norris Group gives this week’s Norris Group real estate headline roundup. It appears after much discussion the Fed will be raising rates next week, although it appears they will not address how the economy could have changed with the recent election. The recent risk transfer transaction by Fannie Mae was given a positive rating by Fitch Ratings. Freddie Mac just announced another multifamily small balance loan securitization to be priced at $209 million.

The Mortgage Bankers Association reported mortgage applications increased 1.2% from the previous week in their latest survey. FHA loan limits for the following year were just announced on this day, and it looked like the limits would be increasing due to housing price changes. The difference between the opinions of appraisers and homeowners was growing smaller.
