Today’s video is all about I Survived Real Estate 2016, happening tonight at the Nixon Library.  However, you can still check out some of our other news stories below.  Several professionals believe now is a better time to rent as opposed to buying and may remain this way for a while.  The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta released new data showing wage growth at its highest since the financial crisis.  SunTrust Banks showed positive net income in the third quarter at $457 million.

“Is it better to buy or rent your home?  This is a somewhat silly personal finance trope that assumes a reader is a) living under a bridge and b) has a suitcase full of enough cash to afford a down payment.”

Philly.com – “Los Angeles-based real estate investment firm buys Two Liberty offices” (10-21-16)

“Los Angeles-based Coretrust Capital Partners LLC has become effective majority owner of the office portion of Center City’s Two Liberty Place tower, the company said Friday.”

 

Housing Wire – “SunTrust sees strong mortgage growth in Q3” (10-21-16)

“SunTrust Banks reported a net income of $457 million or $0.91 per diluted common share in the third quarter. This is down from last quarter’s $475 million or $0.94 per share and last year’s $519 million or $1 per share.”

Bloomberg – “Now Is the Time to Ask for That Raise” (10-21-16)

“It might be time to ask your boss for a raise—that is, if you haven’t gotten one already.  According to new data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, most categories of workers are seeing wage growth hit post-financial-crisis highs.”

Freddie Mac – “Freddie Mac Prices $217 Million Multifamily K-Deal, K-J08” (10-21-16)

“Freddie Mac (OTCQB: FMCC) recently priced a new offering of Structured Pass-Through Certificates (K Certificates) that are backed by underlying collateral consisting of supplemental multifamily mortgages.”
